Our Planting Design Process
Once the wider garden design has been finalised, we work closely with our clients to develop the planting scheme in greater detail. These discussions allow us to understand your preferences, lifestyle and the atmosphere you would like the garden to evoke, helping us create a planting palette that feels personal and entirely appropriate to the space.
Clients are never expected to have extensive plant knowledge. Our role is to guide and inspire throughout the process, introducing suitable planting combinations, colour palettes and styles that complement the architecture and character of the garden. Mood boards and visual references are used to help communicate the overall feel of the scheme before the final planting plan is prepared.
The completed planting plan carefully illustrates the location, spacing and mature scale of every plant within the garden, ensuring the landscape develops exactly as intended over time. Alongside the plan, we prepare a detailed plant schedule that provides landscapers and suppliers with the clarity required for accurate pricing and successful implementation.
This final stage helps ensure the integrity of the original design vision is preserved, allowing the completed garden to mature into a landscape that feels natural, enduring and beautifully considered in every detail.
