We are proud to announce that Kate Marshall MSGD, Tapestry’s lead designer, has received a commendation at this year’s APL Awards.
The Association of Professional Landscapers comprises accredited landscape companies who design, build and maintain gardens throughout the UK. The rigorous inspection process to join is the toughest within the industry. Along with the initial inspection, each member is inspected annually to ensure each member has up to date insurances, complies with health and safety law and their quality of work is to the highest possible. The APL is the only landscaping scheme operator of Trustmark, a Government endorsed initiative that promotes professional trades to consumers.
The awards, held at London’s The Brewery, aim to recognise and reward the high standard of landscape contracting carried out by APL members, and to promote the membership’s commitment to providing quality landscaping and complete customer satisfaction. The standard of entries is consistently high and, for the first time this year, the awards include a category recognising the great contribution that garden designers make to landscaping projects.
We congratulate Kate for her design of an Edwardian style front garden in Colchester, which was built by our partner company Holland Landscapes. The garden takes inspiration from the arts and crafts style of the 1920s and comprises formal box hedging, a classic chamomile lawn, gravel side paths, bespoke iron railings and a mosaic tile path to create an authentic approach to the house.

It is a tremendous achievement for Tapestry Design Studios, of which we are incredibly proud, particularly given that Tapestry has so far been operating for less than a year.
